Biography

Cody’s love for tech started when he discovered a Tandy computer early in his life. His parents were always grounding him because he kept taking it apart to learn how it worked. While serving in the Air Force, he lived in the Middle East, Europe, and has been to every continent worldwide. He even had a cup of hot cocoa with Santa. Cody grew up in the small town of Henrietta, Texas, before heading off to the Florida Institute of Technology, where he earned a BBA in Computer Information Systems and Human Resource Management.

Cody’s IT background started in the Air Force, where his primary duty was aircraft maintenance, his supervisors found he had a knack for computers and technology.  He started working on the Air Force systems as a CSA managing the Unit’s 250 machines and printers and 300 user accounts. After receiving his Security Plus Certification, he worked as a network administrator and ISSO, maintaining his organization’s systems’ security.  He introduced RFID systems to the maintenance unit and wrote the initial process to move the Air Force to this new technology.

Outside of work, Cody enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, fishing in the Gulf, playing music, and listening to the radio. He also loves traveling, cooking, geocaching and is a boating enthusiast. Most days, you can catch him doing projects around the house and giving back to his community.

Cody learned about Bit-Wizards while working as an intern at CareerSource Okaloosa, where while completing his degree, he helped veterans with career options. He wanted to be a part of the Tip of the Wand technology on the Emerald Coast and so, he joined the Managed IT Team at Bit-Wizards to help build solutions to IT businesses problems.
