Sam Blowes is a Microsoft SharePoint developer at Bit-Wizards, helping clients integrate their businesses into Microsoft’s Cloud based project management system and central hub. He works in the IT department internally, providing support and SharePoint integration for his co-workers. He’s a technology enthusiast in many areas, and is a creative problem solver.
"It's hard to explain puns to kleptomaniacs. They always take things literally."
Sam has fostered a love for technology for as long as he can remember, sneaking time on his older brothers’ Vic-20 and Commodore 64 when they were at school and teaching himself to program in BASIC on his Atari while still in elementary school. He still has a passion for vintage computers and the 8-bit 6502s.
Growing up in England and Europe afforded him the exposure to learn several skills from many places. From programming to computer assembly and repair, from graphic design to video editing, and on multiple platforms, Sam has worked as an IT professional on several continents and is experienced in multiple operating systems and platforms. Sam has been doing web design since the late 90’s, even before the days of CSS. His globe-trotting upbringing made him a voracious learner, and he’s quick to jump into any project and hone the required skillset.
Having worked extensively in the non-profit sector, Sam has designed network infrastructures, technical systems, and custom digital workflows for churches, media companies, and international missions’ organizations all over the world. Sam and his wife, Monica, have lived in Destin, FL for over 8 years and have three children.
