Four Years in a Row on Inc. 5000 List for Bit-Wizards

The custom software company Vince Mayfield and Louis Erickson started in 2000 has been recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States for the fourth consecutive year — a significant achievement considering Bit-Wizards is one of only 375 companies in 2012 to make the list four years in a row.

The Inc. 5000 list is an exclusive ranking that represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy — America’s independent entrepreneurs.
Each year, Inc. Magazine releases its 5000 list, which ranks the fastest-growing, private companies in the U.S. The list results are based on the percentage of revenue growth from 2008 to 2011 — three of the toughest economic years since the early 1980’s. To qualify, companies must be based in the United States and have earned a minimum revenue of $100,000 in 2008 and a minimum revenue of $2 million in 2011.

"We're incredibly proud to continue this streak," says Vince Mayfield, Bit-Wizards' CEO and co-founder. "Our success and growth is truly reflective of the talented and diverse group of people we refer to as our 'Wizards'. Each year now, everyone waits to see if we made the list again. It’s kind of become an annual tradition now and I love it!"

Bit-Wizards is consistently recognized for its innovative software development, software integration, website design, cloud infrastructure consulting, and mobile application development. By embracing emerging technologies like Windows Azure and Windows 8 application development, Bit-Wizards is positioned to create and deliver new solutions that power businesses to reach the new Windows 8 Marketplace. Visionary entrepreneurship keeps Bit-Wizards ahead of emerging technologies; and it’s those technologies that create competitive advantages and help maintain their place on the Inc. 5000 list — a trend Vince and Louis plan to continue.

In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2012 Inc. 5000 companies remains an impressive 97 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created over 400,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $299 billion.

"Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is," said Eric Schurenberg, Inc. Magazine Editor.

Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/5000. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.'s September issue.
