Responsive Website Design & Development
Bit-Wizards designed and developed a mobile friendly website that puts the power of content creation in the hands of the client so they can help train and engage digital marketers around the globe.
One of the main challenges with building the Digital Marketing University site was doing so in a manner that would
allow the storage of video courses. This required us to think in terms of scalability and not just immediate needs.
Another challenge was building the forums in such a way that they could facilitate the discussion around the courses in addition to breeding a healthy, vibrant community of marketing professionals.
On top of these challenges, the site also needed to be optimized for mobile devices as the particular audience for this site (and most sites) are very active on mobile devices. We needed to cater to these needs without requiring Kentico to spend additional time and pains when managing the content for the site.
The website was designed in-house by our creative team and then developed within the Kentico+ cloud solution. We used the portal method as opposed to the ASPX method because it gives us the most flexibility and efficiency and significantly helps with maintainability.
Easy Content & User Management Using Kentico+ Cloud Platform
To cater to the mobile users, we chose to build the site using Responsive Web Design (RWD). This again gave us the most flexibility while also producing the required results in the most efficient manner. Also, because RWD eliminates the need to have multiple site optimized for different platforms, Kentico does not have to manage content in separate places thus eliminating wasted effort and potential problems.
Responsive Design Offers Across Device Support
The results of this project were quite impacful for Kentico. The Digital Marketing University site has an average of 80K visitors per month. It offers over 10 hours of video courses available to digital marketing professionals; and continues to create regularly updated blogs and maintain over 50 articles by industry thought leaders on the topics that matter to modern marketers.
