Julian Radacz

Biography

Julian was born in London, Ontario Canada and moved to Florida at the age of 7. Ever since he can remember, Julian has been in front of a computer. From the time Julian was born, his father was a software developer, so technology was always accessible at home.

At age 9, Julian built his very first Pentium 4 gaming desktop computer and developed a great desire to learn all about how a computer works and the amazing things he could create using a computer. At age 12, Julian started getting into the programming books in his father’s home office and began learning visual basic, which sparked a deeper level of interest: Computer Programming. From there, he found new things he could learn and create, and after high school, Julian went on to study programming at Florida State College of Jacksonville. He also participated in the Nokia developer program during the launch of Windows phone 8 and learned to write mobile applications and publish them to the Windows Store.

While all this experience was very fulfilling, Julian knew he wanted to grow these skills into a full-time profession. After obtaining a Technical Certificate from FSCJ for Software Development, Julian landed his first job in the technical career field at Microsoft as a Technical Service Advisor. He spent the next 4 years at Microsoft learning and growing his skills further and working on software consulting projects on the side. Julian also led the Code Camp events at Microsoft, which invited young children to learn the basics of coding. After working at Microsoft and putting a few years of Software Consulting under his belt, Julian finally landed his first full time role as a Software Developer at Suncoast Credit Union. There, he was exposed to a large variety of software technologies and frameworks while supporting the needs of over a million members!

After 5 years at Suncoast, Julian wanted to find a workplace where he could bring all his expertise, while fulfilling his desires to be in the work culture he experienced at Microsoft: one that was highly positive, laid back, and productive, but also kind of nerdy. That is when Julian came across Bit-Wizards and the amazing opportunity of working on their software team. He is now happily embracing the highly positive, laid back, productive, but also nerdy culture found at Bit-Wizards that he has sought after.
