Biography

Robert grew up in a small town southeast of Houston, Texas. In his youth, he was involved with sports, playing video games, and suping up his computer. As an aspiring computer enthusiast and professional gamer, he fondly remembers his first dial-up and DSL internet connections, as it meant he could surf the web at blazing fast speeds.

After graduating high school, Robert moved to Austin where he attended the University of Texas, graduating with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. There, he embraced the nerdy, engineering lifestyle and developed a passion for college football.

Robert started his career in the electronic and manufacturing industry where he tested embedded systems and provided design for test recommendations. A background in embedded systems primed Robert for the beginning of his IT career in Chicago, where he spent many years working in the healthcare industry in Infrastructure Delivery and Operations. Many years later, he moved to Florida to hone his IT Wizardry skills at the Wizard capital of the world: Bit-Wizards.

In his spare time, Robert enjoys being outdoors, whether it’s kayaking, biking, hiking – you name it! His adorable and loving dog, Miles, also enjoys spending time outside when he’s not tearing things up inside. You may find them taking long walks, being good boys, and generally having a jolly good time.
