Mallory Whalen is the Director of Human Resources at Bit-Wizards. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration in Human Resource Management, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Baker College in Flint, Michigan. For the past six years, Mallory has been managing, creating, and optimizing human resource processes as well as office operations practices. She enjoys expanding her knowledge of everything HR by attending seminars, classes, and reading various publications from her peers.
“You learn you can do your best even when it's hard, even when you're tired and maybe hurting a little bit. It feels good to show some courage.”
In January 2014, Mallory achieved her PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification, and, in January 2015, Mallory achieved her SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional) certification. Mallory has an A.S. Degree in Travel & Tourism and, upon graduating in 2005, she worked in the hospitality industry in various capacities including front-line management, event planning, and sales. She quickly realized the importance of employee management, organized processes, and that happy employees directly correlate to the overall success of any team or business. As the Director of Human Resources she stays very busy wearing many hats but what she loves most is helping Bit-Wizards meet its goals, and taking care of her fellow Co-Wizards to help them grow and be happy.
Upon relocating to this area, Mallory began working for a small family owned and operated company. During her service there she was promoted to Operations Manager, under which she managed all operational processes and human resource activities. During these years, the company experienced significant growth and Mallory’s talents were the fundamental source in ensuring the organization remained compliant, organized, and successful.
Mallory was born and raised in Northern New England, and, while she does miss the family and friends she has there, she loves the way of life and everything that Northwest Florida has to offer. She enjoys spending time with her amazing husband Mike, cuddling their three silly kitties, Daisy, Lilly, and Milo, and hanging out with their great group of friends. She also enjoys traveling to and exploring new places, visiting New England, learning how to play tennis, and being active.
