Biography

Mike is best described as a country boy geek. He has been involved in IT professionally for nearly 20 years and personally for even longer. Ever since he was young, he would tear apart electronics and put them back together to learn how they worked. His passion led to continued self-education of electronics and later IT. He also assisted his father in various automotive repairs throughout the years. By the mid-2000s, he worked for a local internet service provider, where he started as a general IT help desk employee. By the time he left that company, 11 years later, he was working in the server administration field. After, he worked as the sole IT and Server Administrator at a local healthcare company.

Mike grew up in South Dakota, so he has the laid back/easy going nature, but has been in the Niceville, FL area for almost 21 years. For nearly 20 years, he has been married and has two wonderful children, with the oldest daughter doing culinary programs at the local college and the youngest spending her free time in Minecraft. He also enjoys the company of his two dogs and four cats.

His hobbies include 3D printing, various simulation-based PC games, and comfortable doing his own automotive repairs in his spare time.
