Biography

Michael got his start in IT by being a helicopter gunner in the Air Force, serving for five years after joining at the age of 19. Unfortunately, there is very little civilian work for helicopter gunners, so Michael became a cable guy. He spent the next 11 years learning all aspects of the cable industry, from the home to the headend. During this time he found a passion in the headend. In 2012, he became a headend technician for Cox Communications, where he spent three years.  In 2015, he returned to the City of Valparaiso, becoming the first Headend Technician and IT Administrator. He then built the first citywide network from the ground up. He later moved on to an international MSO where he developed numerous systems for companies large and small.

Michael lives in Crestview with his wife Rossi and children, MJ and Hannah. In his free time, he enjoys pulling his kids off the ceiling and woodworking. For some reason, his wife keeps trying to park her car in his wood shop.
