Biography

Noel was 11 years old when he arrived in the U.S. for the first time from the Philippines. He came to America in 1975 with his adoptive parents, who were actually his biological aunt and uncle. After finishing school in the Bay Area (California), Noel joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 17, first as an Avionics/Radar technician on fighter jets, and later as a communications-computer specialist. He retired in March of 2001, which is when he moved to the Florida Panhandle. Noel then worked in the newspaper/media industry for 22 years, starting as a Technical Support Specialist and working his way up to Regional Director of IT throughout the Panhandle region.

Noel’s wife, Lee, is a nurse and they have a blended family of three sons and an overly energetic daughter, as well as three grandchildren. Noel loves cooking and inventing non-traditional recipes, fishing, amateur singing, gardening, and professional partying. As an added side note, he managed to renovate his home and landscape with pride, and without too much destruction (even though he just learned to use power tools a few years back)! Noel is also an avid fan of the Golden State Warriors, Las Vegas Raiders, and the Florida Gators sports teams.
