Bit-Wizards built a complete on-line marketing and e-commerce solution fully integrated within the Kentico CMS and EMS to provide a unified view of marketing activities and customer data for FirstService Residential.
has experienced dramatic growth over the past few years, driven in large part by the acquisition of many new property management companies in the U.S. and Canada. With each new acquisition, new online assets and content led to an unmanageable and complex system that was increasing customer confusion.
With FirstService Residential’s decision to undergo a major organizational rebranding across North America, the company required new local websites for each company, as well as a solution that would consolidate all new assets into a single system – one that presented a unified brand message, while maintaining local focus and relevance for both current and potential clients.
The engineers and developers at Bit-Wizards worked with FirstService Residential to develop a new website utilizing the
Kentico Content Management System
(CMS) and Kentico Enterprise Marketing Solution (EMS). Through this solution, separate content and functionality for each region served by FirstService Residential allows regional offices to update their services and functionality independently.
Through the use of location detection technology, the new website also automatically directs users to their local region, while enabling navigation across all regions, as well as the corporate website. Moreover, privacy is ensured through the Kentico CMS’ user and group security configuration, which restricts local region administrators to their own content.
As an added feature, the new FirstService Residential website automatically adapts its layout to the screen size of each individual user. This capability, known as Responsive Design, incorporates specific code that detects devices and screen resolution that automatically optimizes content to any device. As a result, FirstService Residential does not need to create and maintain multiple versions of its website, such as a secondary site dedicated to mobile browsers.
Furthermore, by leveraging the Windows Azure PaaS (platform as a service), the new FirstService Residential website offers enhanced performance, security and reliability.
The new website provides FirstService Residential with a complete on-line marketing and e-commerce solution fully integrated within the Kentico CMS and EMS to provide a unified view of marketing activities and customer data. Administration and content management have been simplified with a workflow-based, single platform that also provides significant cost-savings over the multiple third-party applications previously used.
In addition to providing enhanced capabilities and information to its clients across North America, the new CMS was very well received by FirstService Residential’s corporate team.
