Event

11:00 PM
Speaker:
Matt Parry-Hill
Meeting Topic:
Building Projects on Raspberry PI and Windows 10 Core IoT
In this session, we will explore Matt's journey through building his first
Raspberry PI
project on
Windows 10 core IoT
. The project he chose to build is something practical, a weather sensor that transmits environmental telemetry, e.g., temperature and humidity, to the cloud for remote monitoring of an outdoor animal habitat.
We will look at the sample project he chose from windowsondevices.com and discuss some of the challenges of building the sensor itself, as well as a number of hurdles that he had to overcome in deploying and testing the sensor on Raspberry PI.
There will be lots of good “lessons learned” that we hope will prove to be useful to anyone working on their own Windows 10 IoT project. And as always, we will have beer and pizza to feed our stomachs along with our minds!
