Choctaw High School Marching Band Website Re-launches in the Cloud

First launched in 2009, the design and development for the Choctawhatchee Stylemarchers website was provided by Bit-Wizards at no cost and has become the hub of the band’s activities, news, and information. After months of work by the software engineers at Bit-Wizards, the new website is now powered by the Kentico Content Management System (CMS) and provides a new level of security and abilities for the organization.

Kentico CMS is an enterprise web content management system providing a highly flexible platform with a uniquely easy-to-use user interface built on the Microsoft ASP.NET platform. Additionally, the website is now hosted in Microsoft’s Cloud, Windows Azure, which provides the scalability to handle future updates, additions, or just additional bandwidth when needed.

Community involvement has been part of Bit-Wizards from the beginning, giving back to the local community by donating time, talent, and resources. Over the years, Bit-Wizards has contributed time and money to support many worthwhile charities, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions along the Northwest Florida and Southern Alabama. As part of this continuing commitment to the local community, Bit-Wizards provided the recent upgrades and hosting services at no cost to the school or booster organization.

The Choctawhatchee High School Band program has been in existence since 1952 and is a proud school tradition. The Choctawhatchee Band program is nationally recognized as one of the finest and most comprehensive high school band programs in the nation and includes the Style Marchers, the Symphonic Band, the Concert Band, the Jazz Band, the Winter Percussion, and the Winter Guard.
“We are sincerely grateful to the fine people at Bit Wizards and are very proud of their support and affiliation with our band,” said Melanie Norton, the group’s treasurer.
