In an effort to continue to lead Bit-Wizards forward in an ever changing IT industry,
Vince Mayfield, our CEO here at Bit-Wizards decided that returning to school was not only a great idea, but also a necessity. In 2013, Vince made the decision to obtain an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) at the University of Notre
Dame.
The Notre Dame Executive MBA program is ranked 15th worldwide by both The
Economist and
Bloomberg Businessweek.
Vince is taking a deep dive into subjects such as Managerial Accounting, Corporate Finance, Ethics, and Supply Chain Management. Additionally during the 21-month program, Vince will be going to South Africa to participate in an international immersion session with a global company.
“At the core, I am a Software Engineer who has learned through trial and error, that it takes both success and failure, to run a successful business. As my company grows, I need to grow and be a different leader, a better leader. A company is not the same at 500k revenue as it is at 1M, 5M or 15M in revenue. The company has to evolve and so does its leader.”
For me, there was only one choice: Notre Dame. I wanted to be a part of a program that aligns with my core ethos. The Notre Dame MBA program teaches the mechanics of business, but unlike other MBA programs, Notre Dame interweaves business mechanics with ethics and social responsibility.
At Bit-Wizards, we all hold ourselves to a high standard. We are always pushing our skills to the next level. As a team, we challenge each other and hold one another accountable to get the job done, no matter what it may be.
Vince and Louis, as owners and co-founders of Bit-Wizards, lead as examples in this cultural mindset and it permeates how we do business. Always seeking to raise the bar, not only gives Bit-Wizards an edge in our industry, but also benefits our clients when they see the high quality of work and level of excellence in everything we do as it shines through in their projects.
