Sam Blowes Brings Azure Linux Certification to Bit-Wizards

Bit-Wizards has been a Microsoft partner since 2009. Since the initial launch of cloud technology, Bit-Wizards has always led the charge for the latest and greatest Microsoft Azure products and improvements. Leading partners in the move to the development of Kentico websites in Azure and becoming one of Microsoft’s first ever cloud partners are among their first cloud achievements.

In 2012, Microsoft launched its first support of Linux within Azure. Then after support for Linux in Azure expanded, they launched the first MCSA Certification built around Linux in 2015. This uncharted territory has IT professionals across the industry scrambling to achieve this highly sought-after credential.

Leading the charge with Linux on Azure is no different for the Bit-Wizards team. Director of IT, Sam Blowes, recently passed both the LFCS Exam + LFS201 (Essentials of Linux System Administration) and the Microsoft Azure 70-533 Exam (Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions) to complete his MCSA Linux on Azure Certification.

The Bit-Wizards team has already moved several customers with applications and data in Linux technologies to Azure with complete success.

Having experience with Linux on Azure will allow our team to provide services to a larger customer base and deliver quality projects using multiple technology stacks. And as technologies that have been traditionally isolated and siloed begin to merge and offer integration and support for one another, the benefits to businesses and consumers will grow exponentially.

I'm so happy to have earned my LFCS certification. Even though I've been using Linux since the mid-90's, I had to study hard for the tasks in the exam. I've always been a big fan of the Linux operating system in all its many flavors and variants, and I love the Open Source community. I couldn't be happier that Microsoft is embracing the OSS movement, and is now (unbelievably!) the single largest contributor to Open Source Software in the world. This is the perfect convergence of two of my favorite platforms: Linux and Azure!

-Sam Blowes, Director of IT, Bit-Wizards

Bit-Wizards makes great strides to keep their team on the edge of these technology changes and advancements to ensure that no matter the project requirements, their customers will experience a successful outcome.
