Bit-Wizards CEO Chairs FWB Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

At the Fort Walton Beach Chamber's Annual Installation Breakfast on January 3, 2020, Matt Turpin, the 2019 outgoing chair, announced Vince Mayfield as the 2020 Chair of the Chamber Board as well as the members of the incoming Board of Directors.

During his installation speech, Vince stated, "The Chamber must continue to evolve and go beyond the social, beyond self-promotion, and serve a higher purpose. To that end, our mission this year is to be a force for good in our community. In 2020 our theme is One Chamber! One Force for Community and Business." Read the January Chamber Coastlines Magazine.

Vince Mayfield, CEO of Bit-Wizards, first joined the Board of Directors at the Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce in 2016. Over the years, Vince has served on other community boards, and within local executive groups. His record of service includes the Kentico Software Partner Advisory Board and former board memberships on the HAI Group Board and IT Gulf Coast Advisory Board (where he also served as President). In those positions, he relied on a broad array of experience with military, manufacturing, education, financial, hospitality, chemical, aerospace, engineering, e-commerce, and oil industries as a basis for strategic decisions. Vince has also participated in leadership forums, including Microsoft Partner Roundtable Meetings with CEOs Steve Ballmer and Satya Nadella. He is also a member of the local Vistage CEO Peer Group.

"One person cannot summon the future. But one person can change the present. Many people working together on the present can make the future."

—Vince Mayfield, CEO

Coupled with Vince's year as Chair of the Board, 2020 marks a particularly celebratory year for the Bit-Wizards team. Beginning in January 2020 at the company's annual awards banquet, they celebrate twenty years of success—the wizards like to call it 20 years of magic.

The Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce has more than 1,000 members and is a private, not-for-profit organization.
