Michael’s introduction to technology began at age 6 when his parents brought home a Windows 3.1 computer. His interest in playing video games on the new machine motivated him to learn DOS commands and navigate the operating system. As he grew, he became the family tech support resource. Every family has one, right?

Biography

Michael’s introduction to technology began at age 6 when his parents brought home a Windows 3.1 computer.  His interest in playing video games on the new machine motivated him to learn DOS commands and navigate the operating system.  As he grew, he became the family tech support resource.  Every family has one, right?  As a teenager, he offered tech support services to those in his community and prioritized elderly users frustrated by technologies they didn’t understand.  Around this time, he also began modifying and repairing guitar equipment.  Michael has always enjoyed taking things apart to see how they work or to get them working again.  He can’t stand seeing something sit in disrepair and loves to restore things to their original glory.
 
While working at a retail coffee shop, Michael began efforts to transition his career into a technology-related field. He started taking courses towards a degree in Information Technology and studying for certifications to help him achieve that goal.  After learning about Bit-Wizards from a friend, he immediately identified with the company’s core values and jumped at an opportunity to become a Wizard.
 
Michael grew up in El Paso, Texas, where he met his wife, Liz.  They were married in 2010, and in 2011, they decided to move to the Florida panhandle to see how the beach compares to the southwestern desert.  Together, they enjoy writing music, working on projects around the house, and spending time with their two cats, Isis and Mazikeen.
