D'Aun Riggs
Software Test Engineer
D'Aun was born and raised in Fort Walton Beach. She attended Kenwood Elementary, Pryor Middle School, and Choctawhatchee High School. She grew up in a sports household and participated in any sport she could get her hands on. In her freshman year of high school, she played five sports: softball, soccer, flag football, track, and tackle football. In her sophomore year of high school, D'Aun committed to play Division I softball at Florida State University.
Biography
D’Aun was a Covid graduate who attended Florida State University for two years before transferring to Troy University, participating in their softball program, and earning a broadcast journalism degree with a sports information minor. Upon graduating, she decided to explore her interest in technology and continue her education.
D’Aun has always been fascinated with problem-solving and being the “go-to" person for anyone who needs help or assistance. Her athletic background taught her the importance of leadership and teamwork toward a common objective. Sports also taught her how to overcome obstacles and learn from failure rather than allowing it to discourage improvement. D’Aun also previously interned with a construction company, where she learned the importance of hard work and teamwork. Projects could only be completed if everyone was on board and doing their assigned tasks.
D’Aun is also a very proud dog mom to her Chiweenie, Ka$h. In her free time, you will find D’Aun spending time with her family and friends and participating in some kind of sport or activity.
