David J. Perkins is a Principal Senior Software Engineer at Bit-Wizards with more than 26 years of experience developing software, and over 19 years developing applications for the Windows family of operating systems.

Dave graduated from Mount Vernon Senior High School, Mount Vernon, Ohio, in 1985. He joined the Air Force, attended basic training, and was subsequently stationed at Tyndall AFB.
Dave started working with computers while in the Air Force, working with the USAF Engineering and Services Center, Tyndall AFB, and fulfilling his commitment to the Air Force Software Design Center HQ SMLEM, Gunter AFB. He has worked for several companies as a Software Engineer such as Express Scripts Inc., Bank One Inc., HCMH, and Ontario Systems LLC. Dave has also served as the Project Manager and Project Technical Lead of several multi-million dollar software projects. He has expert skills in software engineering with .NET, SQL Server, C++, MFC, COM, and many other technologies and tools.
Dave is an FAA pilot. He attended Troy State University majoring in Computer Science. He holds a Microsoft Certified Professional Developer Certification and was an Eagle Scout. While in the military, he was awarded Airman of the Quarter (twice), Airman of the Year, and was selected as one of the Twelve Outstanding Airmen of the Air Force (1st AF).
Dave resides in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and has four kids: Derek, Kaela, Lauren, and Megan.
