Bit-Wizards is proud to announce that the national manufacturing company, Heartland Steel Products, has chosen to partner with Bit-Wizards for Managed IT and Cloud Infrastructure Services. Heartland Steel is a warehousing and design-build manufacturing company, founded in 1954. Its lines of business include the manufacturing of partitions and fixtures, pallet racks, safety rails, ladders, stairs, and catwalks.
This technology partnership came from the business need to improve the company's productivity, communication, and collaboration with file shares and storage across all business centers, with storage being their primary concern. Initially, the Bit-Wizards Cloud Infrastructure team performed Cloud Economics and Network Assessments as well as a Cloud and IT Strategy Assessment so that Heartland could both understand the current state of their IT infrastructure and work with Bit-Wizards to build out an overall IT strategy.
During these assessments, the Bit-Wizards team was able to evaluate the needs of the company from an IT perspective, which revealed that Heartland's IT infrastructure required the management of five locations and over 150 employees across the US. It became apparent that a single employee could not maintain daily IT support requests and manage the overall network health needed to continue to scale the business. Bit-Wizards Managed IT Services team is excited to work alongside Heartland's internal IT to provide the continuous network monitoring they require, as well as provide network security and maintenance. Bit-Wizards will onboard the 150+ employees into their IT management platform and work to reduce security threats and improve their overall Microsoft Office 365 Productivity Suite configuration while providing both on-site and remote support for Heartland Steel employees nationwide.
Continuing their partnership, Bit-Wizards will also carry out several cloud infrastructure projects. They will begin by focusing on stabilizing and improving the network and security and assist in the planning and adoption of Microsoft Teams to promote improved collaboration throughout the business units. Bit-Wizards' Cloud Infrastructure team will help Heartland Steel plan and implement a cloud strategy for their Enterprise Resource Planning solution (ERP) that removes the need for on-premises infrastructure. Bit-Wizards will also work to implement an intranet via SharePoint Online and provide a Virtual CIO strategy to help Heartland Steel Products to continue to reach their technology and business goals.
