Biography

Courtney grew up in a small town in southwest Mississippi. She had early aspirations of becoming a classical ballet dancer, even attending a boarding school Arts Academy, but injuries and fate proved her “Fame” would be found elsewhere.

In college, a chance meeting with a UWF co-op mentor led her to apply for a co-operative education opportunity with IBM End User Support Services, and the rest is IT history.

Early career experience with document management companies supporting Oracle database customers led Courtney back to her family in the panhandle of Florida. She worked for years as a DoD contractor travelling the world installing and configuring servers. Her experience with the dedicated, hard-working DoD community led her to team up in the creation of a software program designed to manage waiting customer populations. Many years of planning, implementing, and deploying custom software solutions started her journey in project management.

While managing projects for a non-profit educational foundation, current events sparked Courtney’s interest in cyber security. After completing certifications in Penetration Testing (GPEN), Incident Handling (GCIH), and Cloud Security Automation (GCSA) the opportunity to marry her security skillsets with delivering secure IT Solutions brought her to the Bit-Wizards family.

Courtney, her husband, and her two amazing teens are heavily involved with their local community, scouting, volleyball and tons of leisure activities like fishing, hiking and frolicking on the world’s most beautiful beaches.
