Walter’s story started when he was 12 and discovered the magical console known as the Atari 2600. From there, he developed a strong interest in computers and how they worked. Walter taught himself programming (now known as coding) and that evolved into wanting to learn networking.

Biography

Walter’s story started when he was 12 and discovered the magical console known as the Atari 2600. From there, he developed a strong interest in computers and how they worked. Walter taught himself programming (now known as coding) and that evolved into wanting to learn networking.

Walter worked for Cox Communications for 18 years where he moved from working as a technician installing cable TV, broadband internet for residential customers & fiber circuits for business customers, to a Network Support Engineer. During Walter’s time there, he obtained Certifications through Microsoft & Cisco (MCSE & CCNA respectively).

After leaving Cox, Walter worked for Apple, Inc. as a remote tech support advisor supporting Macs, iPads, and iPhones. From there, he worked for White Wilson Medical Center as a Level 3 Tech Support network administrator maintaining the network for all locations for the facility.

When Walter heard about a position opening at Bit-Wizards, he was very strongly encouraged to apply. He’s glad to say that he was selected to be part of their amazing team!
